Renter Resources
We are here to help answer any questions through this trying time. We have listed several resources below should you need any assistance. Please do contact us if you have any further questions or concerns. Things will get better, if we work together!
Tenant Tips
- Know your
tenant rights and responsibilities. These are outlined in the lease documents you sign, and apply to you as a tenant, whether or not you're on housing assistance.
- Get renter's insurance. You can get this through your driving insurance company, or through a dedicated service like
Lemonade or
Roost. This must be updated with every new lease. If you sign a new lease, even if you are staying at the same property, you must update your renter's insurance as well.
- Utilities are often paid for by the tenant. There are forms the utility companies require to be filled out for transfer of responsibility during each new lease. You can get these forms through the utility companies but we also provide them. It is the tenant's responsibility to complete these forms and/or contact the utility companies to do so, we cannot do this on behalf of the tenant.
